Welcome to the Zimmer Women in Orthopaedics Newsletter. This is the first in a series of articles regarding a clinical topic and a career topic. After all, orthopaedic surgery is not just about how well you can do surgery. This newsletter series will promote growth professionally and personally for women (and men) in orthopaedic surgery.  The professional growth articles will address common issues one may come across or wish they could talk to someone about. The clinical articles will focus on tips/techniques and consideration in common orthopaedic conditions. The first in this series discusses having it all-family, kids and a job and finding balance. The clinical article highlights a common fracture seen by all orthopaedic surgeons who take call – the Proximal Humerus Fracture.
